Hmmm, tires look like innertubes held on with straps. Looks a bit like a Rokon, I was impressed he was able to pick it up so easily but I guess a 5hp mower engine isn't too heavy :)

My business partner wants to start making and selling those... NO JOKE.

I told him no way... you guys think this thing could sell here ?

Getting it past CARB for green/red sticker would suck. Never get it on the street unless you go to AZ.

Let me know what you think for real. He really wants to do it. :deal

Actually it might be pretty simple for the carb end, just use a motor that is already carb certified, i would suspect that dmv would be more trouble if you eated to make it a "dual sport". Ironbasher

It'd be a Honda clone motor... I cringe at the idea of dealing with CARB at all. Almost prefer to sell 49 state and tell CA guys to buy it in another state. Wouldn't even try to go street legal in CA unless we developed other more serious products down the road.

It's an idea... kicking around a lot of them right now... time will tell.

This looks like a better implementation of a Rokon. Who needs a suspension when you have tires!
Also, lift them with your legs if anyone ends up getting something like this. Guy in the video could have hurt himself pretty badly.

Pretty sure it IS a Rokon - or a damn close replica.
    I'd hold out for a Christini w/ a Rekluse = SUPER cheater.

    Three very different machines...

Try putting a Rokon in your trunk. Hell try picking one up... with two guys.

Rokon 350 pounds... This bike is about 150 pounds and costs half that of a Rokon.

There was a time when Kit Car manufacturers didn't have to deal with many of the requirements by selling in kit form with "some assembly required". The good ones were almost plug and play. All you had to provide was a donor vehicle with a title. Really didn't matter if any of the parts came from it as long as the title was clean, you stamped the vin # somewhere and had the kit car documents. Good Luck!

It doesn't look to be a honda motor or any other internal combustion type. That looks to be electric.

That article is pretty funny... "The company" some dude in Russia selling paper plans for $50. :rofl

If we decide to produce it there will be a bit of refinement... ok a fucking LOT of refinement. :rofl

So my question is this... if it was pretty... had name brand tires... a Honda e-start engine... and didn't look like you would die riding it... retail for $1795-1995 US... would it sell ?
