I know the picture isn't worth much but the reaction from giving a 82 year old guy his first ride on a motorcycle..........priceless.

Not necessarily my best travel pic ever, but I do like this one. It's me on my first adventure trip, riding a well-used '81 Nighthawk 750, overloaded with Russian novels and cans of beans and tuna, deep in the Copper Canyon in 1997. I never saw any other motorcyclists in the Copper Canyon that trip and I haven't been back since. It looks like it's a lot more heavily traveled these days.
That Nighthawk proved its worth in the Canyon for sure. Who needs a GS when you can cover all the same ground on a $1500 sixteen-year old UJM...

First camping trip, 7 days and 3,000 miles, so many great memories. can't wait for the next one (Denver-Durango-Arches-Moab-Bryce Canyon-Page-Flagstaff-Sedona-Jerome-Taos-Sand Dunes-Crestone-Denver):
