The Rock City the old barn(s) reference is a park located on Lookout Mounting near Chattanooga, TN. Farmers used to have their barns painted for free if they'd display "See Rock City" on them.

And I understand many took advantage of the offer...once a very common sight...like 'Burma Shave' signs...

It's amazing how much of this old mill is still left. I always thought it could be saved. Too late now me thinks.

In case a boat counts as a structure - took this picture last August while riding through Nova Scotia, CA. Arguably the best picture I've ever taken!

And of course, interesting fact #367...the yew trees in the churchyard because..They are poisonous to sheep, no Sheep in the church. Why the yew trees? To make the old English long bow of course...

Will I m guessing if you did some googling and found some running mills in the state you lived they would more then likely try to save as much they could . They at least would try to save the mill stones. Beyond that some of those beams instead are worth cash since they are first gen old wood . People want them to make flooring out of. It's alwasy sad to see to something like that .

I was thinking the same thing. I'll see what I can find. I'm heading to the local history room today to find some photos of it when it was in better shape.
