Rockin Rollin, that has to be one of the best campsites that I have ever seen. I did not know that you could camp in Monument Valley. Thanks for the pictures. :clap

Here's the first weekend trip with my buddy's new redverze tent. It's a nice tent and the large vestibule came in real handy on the second day when it rained most of the evening and we were very comfortable sitting in it.

I'll probably end up buying my own soon. The tent portion is good for two people but it would be downright luxurious for one.

Cool spot. From here south it really reminded me of southern Utah. Definitely is one of my favorite canyons on this year's ride.

There is water just down the canyon at N38 40.951 W116 18.161 . You should definitely filter it.

Oh and there are cones too! :lol3

Camping in the Nicolet National Forest. Sometimes the bike picks the spot by refusing to start after a minor wipeout. After setting up camp and having a beer I discovered the culprit and was ready to ride in the morning.

Here are a few old ones I dug up after browsing through the thread. In the first one, I took a spur-of-the-moment winter trip in Eastern NC, not realizing that campgrounds would be closed in the off season. So I "camped" in a closed campground near the Cedar Island Ferry Terminal. I wasn't the only one, as 3-4 vehicles joined me during the night. I think this must have been 2003 or so.

The other photo is my second (and last) run at the Shenandoah 500 with my hammock, from 2005. Note the duct tape on the bike, courtesy of thinking I could run the Hero section on the KLR. hahahaha.
