M4A3 Sherman Tank of 11th Armored Division, 41st Tank Battalion, B Company. Disabled by the Germans with grenades (you can see the holes) on December 30, <S>1943 </S>1944 near Renaumont, just a few miles west of Bastogne.
Tank Commander W. Alexander, Gunner C. Peterman and Loader D. Herbert seriously injured. Driver A. Urda and assistant driver I. Godstein didnt get injured and were taken to a concentration camp. The wounded were left behind. There is no further info on the Tank Commander, but Herbert and Peterman were picked up by US Army medics.
Honda Pan European with EML GT3E sidecar. 14 inch wheels, car tires, leading link. Kids have done some <S>200k</S> 100K in it on travels from Scotland to Tsjechoslovakija en from Norway to Spain. Sold <S>2005</S> 2006.
Note: the kids on the tank are not mine, but like in Normandy everyboy climbes on it. It's not considered disrespect.
<o>Edit: screw up, because Im bad in numbers. Kids travelled 200K on sidecars, only 100 K on this rig. The Battle of the Bulge was of course in 1944 and the bike was sold in 2006. <o></o>
