A hammocks-eye view of Lac de la Vielle.
It is a tradition that I take our children on their first big motorcycle camping adventure just before they go to 6th grade. I may have started with my oldest when she was 10, just before 5th grade. We rode up the Mississippi to the north shore of Lake Superior.....camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. She later rode with me when she was college age to the Mark Twain National Forest in southern Missouri. Just start them young as soon as their feet rest comfortbly on the pegs and do overnight camps around home. You will have camping partners for life.
I may have finally figured out how to share a pic.
This is on Cliff Lake. South of Ennis MT.

Gila NF in SW New Mecico
Nice shot. Makes you feel like there's a grizzly just outside the field of view.
A place called Santa. North east of Turkey.
Both from this year, Hot Springs:
And Meadows of Dan:
Rained at both of them...here's hoping Santa provides a new tent this year
I like that one... looks a lot like around here.
Now THAT is a camping spot!!!
God I forgot how gloomy Alaska can look,Spent 3 months across the bay in Seldovia
Not necessarily favorite, but from the recent Baja 500. Our camp was in the trees behind the white pick-up, and the blue sunshade was our viewing spot:
And from the 2005 Baja 1000. Love those up-close vantage points:
I was expecting to see Richard Simmons.
