this is why we had a great trip.
On the continental divide, on the Sweetwater River...on the Oregon Trail. It just doesnt get any better than this night. Full moon, no wind, Wyoming wilderness.
South of Encampment Wyoming....east of the CDR.
Last night on the trail. Got some pie in town, cold beer, a bit of bourbon, big fire, sitting by the Rio Grande with your buds, great times.
Dam thats some tight camping...:huh
I have rented out a few lean-to's up in VT real nice if it rains..
those boxes look handy! Way better than using a picnic table if it rains. At least the kind that isn't open at the ends.
looks like a housing project for wayward backpackers:huh
Here are some pictures of the 3 bikes lined up in our campsite. MT. Zion Leadville, Colorade
That is at Unicoi State Park, north-east part of GA.
Maybe this link will work, this is a RR from the trip I took that pic on. Lots of good riding in the area.
Trans Iowa Trail (TIT)
Camping under the stars on a remote dirt road is the best (unless it rains). July 1st in the Montana mountains, I was sung to sleep by Coyotes and greeting in the morning with frost. As good as it gets.
Loved this camp spot near mount shasta. Arrive late, leave early to ride. No setting up house. Campfire, bikes, and eventually sleeping bags on the ground.
the view from campsite in previous post in the morning:
here is one from the nighthawk rally I attended in Susquehanna pa.
One of my favorite
This reminds me of my youth. The bikes were Honda mini trails two CT 70's an a ST90. We would tell stories of gettin to first or second base with the pretty girls, fueled by the few beers and cigarettes we managed to take from our parents during the week. Sitting around the fire, those were good times. We were 12 or 13 and only 10 minutes from home on the bikes, but we were overnight camping in the woods. WE WERE MEN !
I wish I could still enjoy it like you guys are !
