I've been intrigued by bikes before, but never really got the itch. I've been a pretty hardcore car gearhead for decades now. My friend Cole is a huge motorcyclist and he's been patiently working on me to get a bike. Awhile back I was over at his house helping him install a transmission in his Eurovan and he showed me his wife's "new" bike, a Capt America F650 Dakar. The minute I saw it I was blown away, totally enthralled. I threw a leg over it and thought, "Hmmm, I'd like to own one of these!" After a shortish search and some posts here I met up with fixn2go today and bought his F650 Dakar. The bike is in immaculate shape and he sent me home with all the service records, two seats, plus a spare air and oil filter. It was a pleasure meeting you Dave and I promise to take good care of it! Good thing I helped Cole with his Eurovan as that's what we loaded the bike up in to bring it home in the snow. I'm a total noob as far as riding goes, well at least things that aren't pedal powered. Next up for me is to register for the motorcycle safety class and get some gear (jacket, pants, boots and gloves). First pic is in fixn2go's driveway, second pic is in my garage. Looking forward to meeting all of you!
