    Mark,

I just got a completely new Zumo back from Garmin for 150 bucks.

My Zumo quit working properly, despite all attempts to calibrate it and whatnot. I called them and got an RMA#, sent it in via the UPS store (insured) with a note explaining what was wrong with it.

They sent a new one back in about a week. Preloaded with my mapset. :thumb

I had purchased a lifetime Mapsource mapping update for the Zumo. I went onto Garmin's website and there was a notice that my unit had been RMA'd, and would I like to transfer the lifetime mapping to the new unit? One click "yes" and upon entering the new unit serial number, all was done.

News gets better: I had left my SD card inside the bad unit, when the new unit came back, I noticed that fact. I resigned myself to the fact that I lost the card.

A few days later comes my SD card back in the mail in a separate letter from Garmin...:thumb

Garmin has my business for life :thumb

Got my refurb unit back today. :clap

It's been so long since I've used it I forgot some of the functionality.

Can anyone recommend a place to pick up a new MC mount for the zumo 550?

Ebay has a supplier for $60 shipped but I figure I should check.

    Hey Bob. :wave

I have the lifetime Garmin maps also. I'll try updating the unit tomorrow, hopefully it's as seamless as your process.

$150 plus tax in washington state. plust you pay shipping there. they pay on the way back. (waiting for mine to come back). do what you can by email or web; the on-hold times are LONG.
