CSC Motorcycles took the wraps off the newest member of its CSC lineup. Shown at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach, CA, the RX4 made its North America debut.
CSC claims the RX4 is a highly versatile bike ready for the highway, cruising, adventure touring or economical commuting to work. Its 450 cc single cylinder, overhead cam, fuel injected and water-cooled engine produces a claimed 40 horsepower and a top speed of over 95 MPH. This new engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission to facilitate highway cruising speeds. Boasting a 5.3-gallon fuel tank and an estimated 60+ MPG, CSC claims the RX4 has an “honest” range approaching 300 miles. At a wet weight of approximately 450 pounds, the RX4 is not a lightweight machine.
The bike is equipped with a digital dash as well as a USB and 12-volt charging outlets. Power to the bike and your accessories is generated by a 300-watt alternator. To make riding more comfortable, the bike has an adjustable windscreen, a “touring” seat, and footpegs with removable rubber inserts. To carry cargo, the RX4 comes standard with a rear rack and molded top case large enough for a full-face helmet. Molded panniers and associated racks are also included. Each of the cases is lockable and keyed to match the ignition. Black anodized spoked wheels are standard. Cast aluminum wheels with tubeless tires are optional. The headlight is controlled by an automatic light sensor. All other lighting including turn signals and brake lights are LED.
The first valve maintenance is to be performed at 5,000 miles. Available Colors are Tangerine Pearl or Gun Metal Metallic. The RX4 is covered by a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty.
With an asking price of $5,895 the RX4 offers many standard features.
