After getting a pair of MV Agusta Rivale 800 (photos below), and two Turismo Veloce not so long ago, the motorcycle department of the General Prevention Office of the State Police, which patrols the streets of Milan, has just received 4 other jewels from the Italian brand: two new MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS.
There are now a total of 8 MV Agusta with the institutional livery of the State Police. A full fleet of “high speed chase” ready motorcycles, which gives the Italian police a greater image, in terms of prevention and capability. Thus the fancy two-wheeled fleet, donated by the notorious brand, has doubled, and so the posh outlook of the Italian fashion capital.
The donation of the vehicles took place during an official event in the internal courtyard of the Milan Police Headquarters, in the presence of the Milan Police and Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta. Also present was the rider Simone Corsi, together with his MV Agusta F2, with which he raced in Misano in the Moto2 category last September.
Powered by a refined three-cylinder engine with counter-rotating crankshaft, capable of developing 110 hp, the ‘Turismo Veloce’ was equipped with side panniers, with a capacity of 60 liters in total, that will allow law enforcement to conveniently stow both the emergency response kit and weapons. An abundant autonomy of 300 km is also guaranteed by the large 22-liter tank.
Apparently, the best characteristic of the bike is its weight, which reaches 199 kg dry, and its new SCS “Smart Clutch System”, a technology that allows the CPU to fully manage the clutch.
“Seeing our motorcycles engaged by the State Police in operations to defend and protect citizens is a source of great pride and satisfaction for us,” said Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta Motor. “At MV Agusta we pride ourselves on building motorcycles with breathtaking beauty and the most advanced technology, coveted and appreciated by enthusiasts and collectors from all over the world. Today we are happy to put this technology at the service of safety. The women and men in the Nibbio department are exceptional riders, and our bikes couldn’t be in better hands. I thank the Commissioner for the trust and the opportunity to offer our contribution to the precious work they do every day, combining two Italian excellences. “
To which the Police Commissioner replied:
“Today the consolidated relationship between the State Police and MV Agusta is renewed, which generously enriches the endowments of the Milan Police Headquarters. The Nibbio Department will be able to count on the new four vehicles that will allow us to continue the more widespread patrol of our metropolis. The characteristics of the Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS are such as to best perform the needs of our operators at the service of the citizen. The methods of patrolling for an increasingly careful and widespread control of the territory represent a fundamental objective for the State Police. Therefore, I thank MV Agusta for the generous attention they have given us with this donation. “
Long story short, criminals in Milan beware! The Bad Boys are back in town.
