The motorcycle accessory world just got a little smaller. Comoto Holdings, the holding company that owns both the Revzilla and Cycle Gear brands, announced that it has acquired J&P Cycles. Comoto says that J&P Cycles is the largest omnichannel retailer of aftermarket products for the American V-Twin rider. Further, Comoto says that with this acquisition, it becomes the definitive market leader in another segment of the powersports aftermarket industry.
J&P Cycles will continue to operate “as a distinct and differentiated retails brand”. The company will continue under the daily operational leadership of J&P Cycles veteran Zach Parham. Parham will also join the Comoto executive leadership team as President of J&P Cycles.
Ken Murphy, the CEO of Comoto Holdings, said:
“We are thrilled to welcome Zach and the talented team from J&P Cycles into the Comoto Family of Brands. J&P’s decades-long legacy of exceptional service and selection are hallmark tenets of each and every Comoto retail brand and will remain a driving force behind our continued high-growth in the years to come.”
Zach Parham, J&P Cycles’ President, had this to say:
“J&P Cycles was built on obsession with customer service and offering the best product selection for riders. Comoto shares these same values. Each retail brand in the Comoto Family has complementary strengths and we are excited to leverage those strengths, to take J&P Cycles to the next level.”
According to the company’s press release, now that the transaction is finalized, organizational efforts are underway “to facilitate a seamless integration of J&P Cycles into the Comoto platform and to ensure “ride-season readiness” for all three of their retail brands.”
