Here is the plan: Meet at the Gas Station next to McDonald's off the 15 fwy and hwy 138 @ 8:00. Head out to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />Pioneer Town. If you have never been there is a cool little town with a unique restaurant/bar. Here is the link if you want the check it out: http://www.pappyandharriets.com/. The food is good and the drinks are cold! I plan on going at a good pace in order to make it there by lunch (12:00) and back in a reasonable time. I plan on doing as much dirt as possible. If you plan on going I suggest having a 100 mile range min. Everyone is welcome to go and no one will be left behind. Knobbies are suggested and a C+ riding skill is recommended. (Plan on doing 140 miles+) If some people don't want to do the loop going back you can take the fwy back home from Pioneer Town.

This year the plan is to make this a weekend trip. Some folks are camping and other are motel-ing it. (M1Jeep is camping so if you planing to tent it you might want to contact him)

Sat: Pioneer Town ride

Sunday: 8:AM Single track and exploring Pinnacles ohv staging area and Silverwood lake. (meet at the Pinnacles staging area.)

Friday nights Dinner and Drinks will be at the Grill @ (7:00 PM) http://www.thegrillatantlersinn.com/

Sat night dinner TBD later depending on the group size.

Please post up if you plan on attending.

Sounds like a fun ride! The only thing im worried about is the range on my 530 EXC, I REALLY need to get a larger tank, but Pioneer Town has GREAT GRUB and COLD Drinks, not to mention sometimes they have other nice stuff to look at lol..:evil The last Pioneer Town ride I did was from Big Bear and back... Im in at this point, sounds like a really fun ride, if I cant upgrade my tank by then I can just stuff a few bottles in my Backpack....

Last time I was at Pioneertown Robert Plant came in the bar!

Some interesting folks out there.

Eric Burdon (Animals) lives close by.

The motel rooms are really cool.

Opening times of bar had become sketchy but that may have changed.

It's a super nice ride from Cleghorn to get there, can you say L.......O.........N...........G!

Ersin (FYYFF) and I will be leaving Long Beach by 8pm. Riding to the Cajon Pass and taking Cleghorn Rd to Silverwood Lake, then take the Pilot Rock trail (?) up to Lake Arrowhead. From there slab it to Green Valley Rd / 3n16 to Crab Flats.

Saturday a.m. we will wait for the rest of the riders to show up at camp then head to Pioneer town for lunch and drinks.

This is going to be an easy going ride on fire roads. Cleghorn Rd has hardway off chutes for those looking for more thrills.

You are welcomed to join us...this goes for anyone else who is interested. :ear

FYI, There's gas at Hero Acres on 247 about 8 miles north from Pioneer Town.
From there you can get the trailhead back up to Burn's canyon or stay on the hwy and loop around 60 miles to the 15 back to McD's

Hi all,

I am a lurker noobie with a GSA. Count me in if the riding is not too technical. My dirt skills are very low, having ridden about 60 miles of gravel/dirt roads in my lifetime. Still, I've ridden past Cleghorn road a hundred times and wondered, "Where does that go," but been too chicken to head up there alone in case I got in over my head...

So far, Bikeopotamus has been to Baja...

I'm in. I'll be jet lagged but probably fine to ride. I'll bring the 1BR w/attached garage too.

Steve, we can ride together if you like as a GSA team. I'll have to get my friend Gus from work to join too. He also has the yellow GSA.

I don't think we'll have any range problems. :rofl I saw Touratech sells these siphons so we can act as mobile tankers if need be.

Behold, the SS Fudgypup

Ha ha...now I understand why my GSA was referred to as a supertanker while down in Mexico. While my partners were buying gas in barrels, I kept sailing along...big tank isnt it?:clap
