Was there in 08 and will be there. Good reason to replace my 'stich.

Looking forward to this event, a good chance to put a few miles on.

    Any other Maritimers heading out?

The 08 rally was a blast, the location is beautiful and it is surrounded by fun roads.

I'm running up to Duluth tomorrow to get my custom Darien pants altered AGAIN! I must be the most unmeasurable person in the world. Just looking at the 08 banner hanging there makes me want to immediately register for this year.

    Did I miss something?

Registration is now open, and registering before the end of June saves you $10...

It's not a cheap rally, but considering all that's included, it's not out of line.. Well, unless you ride a KLR..

(Which is why I've already registered to save that $10) :lol3

I have signed up. Looks like a number of riders from KC will be heading that way.

Should be a great time - lots of good riding and things going on in the area. I registered and will be there. Probably camping, but if the weather looks rough I might book a room at the lodge.

Just don't all be over running the Delta Diner while I am trying to get served there. :D

I've been told to drop your name at the DD. I was never told of the benefit in doing so.

    What lodge?

Dropping my name at the DD just gets you put on the long wait list.

I dunno what lodge. Whatever hotel / resort thingy is nearby.

I thought there might have been a Lodge on the mountain I may have missed.

I did check with the Country Inn and Suites about a week ago. They are the closest motel to the mountain. At that time they had a few rooms left.

Does anyone know someone who is driving up? I'm going to need to have a folding chair and they don't make anything like I need to fit on a motorcycle. And they certainly don't make one to fit on a Rebel 250 which is what I have. Anyone who can help, I'll buy you a beer or a cookie, whichever you prefer.

My recommendation is what 90% of the riders do.. Visit Walmart, spend $8 and pitch it before you leave..

The other 10% (I'm in this group) pony up some money up front and buy one of these, which will last longer than you will. :evil http://www.kermitchair.com/

I thought about a kermit chair but I have some disability issues so I need a full size chair like this http://www.midlandhardware.com/zoomify.asp?catalogid=190694&img=assets/images/products/123278.jpg. If I can't find someone from the Twin Cities who is driving up I'll figure out a way to get a chair from a store in Duluth up to Spirit Mtn on the Rebel. Maybe strapped to my back? Any image I have of hauling a chair up on the Rebel makes me laugh.

Those don't work for me. I need something with a stiffer bottom and back. Thanks for the suggestions, Paper. I'll figure something out. And I think that is all I'll say about that as I'm sure there are better things to talk about in this thread than my stupid back problems and chair requirements.

The web site says there will be a Mr Happy puppet reunion. I'm sure that will be very moving and heartwarming.
