    He flew from Panama to Bogota - it's either that or go by boat. Plane is faster...

    That's what makes this bike a serious choice for this type of riding. I mean round the world riding, not what Nick did (ride non stop, long miles, day after day). He must be insane.

    I think that was the brief. The poor YAMAHA designers probably had to watch "long way up/down/across and around" 100 times. Poor bastards :lol3

    how gracious of him to share his information on the bike performance. :thumb..it all sounds like it performed excellent and shows little wear....even with the loose strap issue tearing the final drive seal

    I think the Yamaha is slowly proving itself and folks are warming to the lack of problems with it. It's slow but they are waking up to the fact that an ADV bikes best qualities are durability and reliability.

    F**k em (the jounos). All they want is sharp handling, 150BHP and a nice exhaust note. To55ers.

    Thread hijack:....

    The tyres that are on the side of my bike are still on it. I put them on shortly after this photo was taken. We are now in Buenos Aires and they have about 17,000 miles on them. :eek1
    We start the shipping process back to the UK tomorrow having covered just under 40K miles. Of that 5k was by hire car/boat/plane, so in all we have done about 35K in the S10 and have used 3 rear and 2 front Heidenau tyres.

    We are knackered.........

    EDIT.... So are the tyres ... Doh!
