best earbuds for under helmet??

Hello,

what are you guys using for under-helmet earbuds? i have a pair of skull candy but they tend to hurt after a while. there was a thread on this from 2013 but i imagine the products have changed a bit sine then ..

anybody having any luck with a specific brand??

i really like these sennheiser x300. they are soft inserts, i can wear them all day. plus, and this is huge to me, one side of the wire is longer than the other. this means i have them routed via safety pens inside my jacket directly to my left ear, then the wire to my right ear can go behind my neck. it's so nice not having it in the way of the chin strap or banging around in the wind. they sound good and are not stupid expensive.

Good sound, noise reduction, custom fit. Only downside is their kinda pricey. And not wireless.

For the best CHEAP ones, try JVC Marshmallows. Great sound and about $10 a pair.

MEElectronics Sport-Fi M6s. I prefer these to my over the eat Harmon Kardon's around the house. Sound is good, bass is awesome, and very good noise isolation. I had tried many other expensive options before settling on these. The three flange tips are awkward at first but once you get used to them they block out wind noise so I don't have to crank the music to hear it.

Ear Fuze is a decent product for the price. The custom fit is good for all day comfort. The sound quality is about the same as cheap ear buds but with wind noise I cannot tell when riding. The biggest down side is zero customer service. At least they have never responded to my emails when they sent me the wrong product.

It's very subjective, because ears are shaped so differently, but I've tried many of the solutions motorcyclists have recommended (etymotics, sennheisers, ear-fuze, etc.) with success and failure.

After years of never being truly happy with a solution, I happened upon a review in Amazon when looking for non-MC friendly earbuds. Several commenters mentioned how great they were under a helmet, how good the sound was, and one mentioned that combining these very affordable buds with Comply replacement tips, they were nearly perfect.

These are a $19 set, but they sound great, are robust and they sit perfect for getting under a helmet without collapsing the ear-canal and disrupting sound. I've truly been amazed at the all-day comfort of them. I have several sets, just to have backups and because I can use them on and off the bike.

I never had much luck with ear buds. I couldn't get them to stay in place when putting on the helmet, or just painful if they did. I found a beanie with speakers in it, took the speakers out and stuck them in my helmet with dum-dum. The sound ok, don't hurt my ears, and only cost $6.99!

SPlugs are the way to go. All day comfortable, attenuate sound like ear plugs, and fit completely into your ear so there is no issue getting your helmet on and off. I have the single driver set with 22" cord and plug them into my Sena 20s.

Hmm. Interesting solution. The clunky bt module kills it for me, but how cool that someone came up with something like that. It's a cool world we live in.

I have the same problem with earbuds becoming uncomfortable with time, so I went to a cheap pair of helmet speakers from this site,
Eventually I went to a SENA set that I have had problem free for 5 years now.
The sena set bluetooths to my phone, but I prefer to clip a small ipod (shuffle) to my chinstrap and connect with a short cable. Then I have bike specific music. and the whole thing comes off with my helmet. (No tether between helmet and body)

I hate cords and use the JayBird BlueBuds X.
