My 59 sits in my climate controlled mudroom over the winter. My 78 is out there too. I would have built the mudroom bigger if I had known I was going to park motorcycles in it at the time. Back in my 20's I did a frame up restoration on one of my bikes in the bedroom of my second floor apartment. I invited three friends over to get it down the stairs when it was done. 2HE

Wow man- I'm jealous too...that's cool. Well, taking it back to earth and the other extreme...

I'm another who does inside repairs- so great to see others! I don't currently have a garage (miss mine) and living in a cottage I'm fixing up in a location I couldn't pass up. Hell of a trade off I thought I'd never make (but won't regret it as long as I can figure out how to make bike access to the basement....long story.) Anyway- had tp pull my engine owing to a busted casing the winter before last. Here's during and after, in my kitchen. Had to use ramps to get it up on the back porch and through the door.

Oops- sorry for the late reply!

Huge thanks man. It's a TE630...the replacement to the TE610 (which is what I was really after, but wasn't able to find one in decent condition at reasonable mileage.) Great all-arounder, for sure, but concerns about parts availability going forward as it was only a 1 year production run- the last under BMW ownership. SWM bought the tooling and is now making their version of it, so there's hope for the parts pipeline.

I had a walkout basement for about 6 years...used it as my heated garage for my bikes...

I'm eating an apple mainly so I can look like a douche. Also this was when I was filming working on my bike last winter....in my living room. My camera automatically takes screenshots when someone 'smiles'. Guess this looked like a smile.

image.jpeg This is my Bonneville. Nice cozy spot in the winter. All my friends understand; all my (very tolerant) wife's friends raise an eyebrow or two. Unlike its predecessors, it leaves no oil slick behind.
