Tewster, the restaurant at Goulding's is good. At least it was a couple of years ago.

    Skipping around a bit....

I headed out from Montrose to Ridgeway where I turned west on the San Juan Skyway. I started to climb and it looked like there was rain in the mountains....only it was snow.

    IMG_0365.jpg IMG_0367.jpg

Made it over and took Hwys 145 and 141 over the 3 Step.

On day two of my stay at 3 Step I went to Moab to fool around. The Lisbon Creek Road is open range so the cows had crapped all over the road

The town was bananas with a UTV gathering. Lots of them running around. I picked up an oatmeal/cranberry cookie from Sweet Cravings. I then headed out of town. I took Hwy 128 along the Colorada River up to the turn off for Castle Valley. From there I took the La Sal Mountain Loop Road on the way back to the 3 Step.

On Hwy 128 along the Colorado River north bound

I really don't know if doing a live RR is worth the aggravation of spending my whole life trying to get photos uploaded with shit internet. Got a strong signal but fookin slow upload here at the campground....God help me

Plus there New York Strips running loose all over the place

    DSCN0168.jpg

The whizzer is running perfect and not any problems. It's about 47 miles from the 3 Step Hideaway to Moab. If you are planning on staying in Moab cancel your plans and stay with Scott and Julie at the 3 Step. If you don't you are coo coo :lol3

Everyday at the 3 Step I walked a mile up and down this road to get a bit of exercise. It's simply beautiful to walk, see this awesome landscape, and not hear a sound except for an occasional fart...

I left 3 Step this morning in glorious weather. Mostly clear skies and temps around 60. South from 3 Step to Monticello and Blanding on Hwy 191. Then towards the Mokee Dugway taking Hwy 95 to Hwy 261. The Dugway is one of my favorite roads in the whole world...almost better than BBQ.

I've covered the history of the Dugway before. If you Google it there is some interesting stuff.

    IMG_0408.jpg

Stopped here to have some lunch...the Valley of the Gods Road is a thousand feet below in the distance.

    IMG_0412.jpg

The bike is almost as good looking as the rider...

    DSCN0181.jpg

    Isn't that a cool road?

    Whew....almost caught up.

Saw a bunch of ADV riders on big bikes near Mexican Hat coming up fast in my rear view mirror. I waited until they were right behind me then I hit my nitrous and melted their windshields with my exhaust. I got about 200 miles in front of them and waited for them to catch up. We all stopped and talked about the power of the WR. All of them said they were jealous of me and offered up their girlfriends in return for me letting them take photos of each other sitting on the whizzer.

Not really I'm only kidding but it could happen....:-)

Here is my little campsite at Gouldings Lodge Campground. Beautiful rocks and really quiet. $26. Temps tonight going down to around 50 and a perfect day is forecast for tomorrow :clap

    IMG_0414.jpg

I needed to wash all my stuff so here is where I updated the RR....

    IMG_0416.jpg

Tomorrow I'm heading towards Nevada. Plan to stay at the Otter Creek State Park. Passed by it a few years ago and vowed I'd camp there next time I was in the area.

Subscribed! Good luck on your trip, looking forward to follow you along.

Your video series were most entertaining and you almost made me regret having bought a WeeStrom instead of a WR250R!

One day I hope to get up there, but for now I will live vicariously through you. :-)

Love the Moki dugway road and the Valley of the Gods, you didn't say but did you drive the road through the Valley of the Gods? One of my favorite places in the whole world. The Olde Bridge Grille in Mexican Hat has great food and service. Goose neck State Parks is beautiful and a great place to stay if you don't mind dry camping.

Yep that bike is in his shop... It's got almost a million miles on it now hahah

I was going to go north and loop over to Otter Creek State Park this morning through the Valley of the Gods but decided to take the southern route through Marble Canyon. Stunning road Hwy 89. I ride through the VOG road last year. Thought about camping at Muley Point last night but needed to do laundry.
