I am going to give it another 2 weeks then hopefully pull the trigger ! I would love to register all year round as I don't mind cold and a little rain but with 2 big bikes it costs a bloody fortune here. In Atlanta it cost me USD 100.00 per bike for 12 months !

I would love to meet some lower mainland riders for some rides. I commute everyday year round from Delta to Abby. I do some exploring around, but always by myself, so I don't venture to far off the beaten tracks. I would love to do a ride from Harrison to Lilloet this summer if anyone is interested.

North side of Sumas Mountain, on Upper Sumas Mtn Road, facing east up the Fraser River. Specifically, it appears to be about an 1/8 of a mile west of the Resource Road turn off to Rock Quarry #1.

Squamish is great. Love riding the Elaho River Valley. The falls are going to be incredible this year. Road to Wigwam Inn last year - that was fun. So many good rides. I'm in Mission too. Anyone interested in doing the KVR?

Great trek. Though last year I found Texas Creek to be a little sketchy — lots of loose gravel around those narrow twists. West Harrison was fantastic if you are looking to go up there that way. In any event, I am down when you do. It's most excellent.

KVR — thats the Kettle Valley Railroad in the Okanagan.

Went up West Harrison - snow @ 65KM mark. Too much. Turned around and found a camp site right on the water — what is't all about.

KVR sounds interesting. Is it a day trip or a 2 day trip ? What is the road surface like. GS will be registered this week so I am almost ready to get out and about !

I too would like to know. I do know it's not a 1 day trip unless you only go a little ways. I have always found that the maps were always a little obscure. This is what I was able to find:

Kevin from below talks about riding parts of it. The above link backs it up. Either way, I'd LOVE to go with someone who knows the area.

I did the KVR Naramata section a few years ago. That section is good going for 2 wheel drive cars. There are quite a few sections to that trail some sections allow motorized vehicles some don't.

I've mountain biked the KVR from Penticton to Okanagan Falls a few times. As much as I would have liked to, i think if I was to ride a dirt bike along that stretch, pretty sure I'd get lynched.

Well, that is definitely on my list now. I've always enjoyed spotting the Shakespearean markers on that section of Highway 5, and now must go explore... :thumb

Yea... I have heard mixed feelings about that, too. Then again, you always do with multi use trails. I suppose if you go slowly past people and don't rip the trail up, it would be fine. Maybe if you handed out free lollipops.

Was up there last weekend. Snow was drivable until around KM Sixty something. Went for a nice camp @ 55. It was the most beautiful camp spot this year — by far!

His post said driveable not rideable, I would not even think about camping with a motorcycle in the snow I am not tough enough for that!
