Bosnia Conflict 1991 - 1999 route suggestions

I am in the very Very early planning stages to do a road based tour of the main sites in the Bosnian conflict.
Planning a ride over 7 days starting in our base in Samokov - Bulgaria heading to Serbian border approx 2 hours away. i guess about 200 kilometers's riding a day max?

Do you have any others, or any epic routes between these destinations?
Figure doing a top 7 destinations and try and make a glorious route inbetween them.... National parks and other sites.

Sipovo,

Livno,
Split.
Any others? any specific places we should also include? and we can look at adding them to the route.

Add Srebrenica, Tuzla and maybe Bihac on the border with Croatia.

Not much to see if you are interested in a war sights. Where worst destructions and crimes happened, it always involved and ethnical 'cleansing' and remaining population did their best to cover the reminders of the crimes. No monuments for killed innocent, just for 'our hero soldiers'. Ruined buildings are either covered by trees or rebuilt. Not much destruction, except economical, still to be seen. Just few places you can get impression of the scale of the horror. Srebrenica memorial cemetery should not be missed. So you will not get impression of the war destruction if you visit places listed above. Better to concentrate on beautiful places now to be seen. Most of it could be easily googled, just put a name of this beautiful site and add war to it. You'll se how it look like at that time. Today most certainly you will not see many war remains. It was 20-25 years ago (1992-1995). I recommend you to visit Srebrenica and enjoy the beautiful sights like Sarajevo, Jablanica, Mostar, Buna river source, Kravice waterfall, river Una and its waterfals, Banja Luka, Vrbas gorge, Jajce, river Pliva and its source...
If you are really interested to see the war remains, then Srebrenica in Bosnia and Vukovar in Croatia. They have memorial museums. Other places are rebuild and no much left of this period. As I said, those who were oppressed are not there anymore and those who left behind and did war crimes do their best to cover the remains. Worth the same for all sides of this conflict in former Yugoslavia.

This way you can really get feeling of the whole region. Enjoy the sites and get the chance to speak to people on opposite sides and get your own conclusion of what happened. Whatever city is on your route, just google the name of it and add 'war' and you'll get plenty od material to prepare yourself. Hope this helps. Anything else, just let me know.
