One thing an end user may want to do while the plastic rack is off, is remove the rear top fender and pull the spacer out of the license plate light.
That always bothered me.

The racks look great! One thing I want to say about a discussion a few pages back on drilling the rack to match the altrider plate, or any other plate for that matter is, please don't do it. That can get out of hand, for example I got the caribou plate/box combo for my twin. Love the box, hate the plate. I made another one out of steel but just so you can see how Caribou has accommodated many configurations, check out this link:

I couldn't have that on my bike. Not only did it look like metal swiss cheese, the box was too far back IMO. I think it would be great of the guys selling these plates had an "I'm never going to ride with a passenger" option so the boxes or rotopax could be moved forward.

Here's one with the handles installed.

The forward handle bases impinge slightly on the plastic. They leave a small nick in the paint. If you are worried about that sort of thing, you may want the work out a solution before mounting the handles. Also, after removing one of the handles, the rack evidently distorted ever-so slightly from being bolted down, so the handle mount holes on the RH handle no longer lined up perfectly. Had to end up first lining up the end with two holes inserting those bolts, then pushing the end with the single hole inward to get it lined up enough to thread the bolt in.
Didn't have the patience to stop for a pic prior to bolting on the SW Motech rack, as I was already late for other errands. For re-installing the rear seat, apply downward pressure to get the bolt holes lined up with the achor nuts.

Mosko Reckless 80 hold down.
I ran some mild steel across for the straps with spacers under it. ATO if you can smooth strap points some how. That's ment for product development [emoji3] Reckless really fits good with this.

Thanks for the feedback, Tremor38. We machined a relief groove in the back surface of the front, 2-bolt handle brackets to prevent them touching the plastic fascia. We've not seen that the handle mounting base touches the plastic. There's clearance between the mounts and fascias. We've had no issues with the rear seat tapped holes lining up. Apparently, there's some variation in the sub frame dimensions that Honda accommodates with slotted mounting bushings in the OEM racks.

Hey C.J., thanks for the feedback. We deburr the slots and edges, though it's a challenge. We fully appreciate the importance of having smooth strap slots. We're working on better ways to do it.

You've probably posted this info by now, but what are the theaded holes near the OEM pannier slots for? Thought I recall the 4 bosses under the seat were for a future pillion rack add-on?
