Thank you for the heads up, I leave a week from tomorrow to do the route. Hopefully I can figure it out and not make the same mistake. Btw if the road ends where were you suppose to go from there? Off-road trail or something?

Are you talking about Topaz Mill ??

If there are any road closures we need to address those, I friend ran it this spring and didn't have issues.. but would love more information so I can adjust the route.. thanks!!

Do you mean running south from
I've updated the area I believe you are talking about coming south out of Eminence...chatted with a buddy on this for an update.. as well as placed a couple Waypoints to help direct riders and one spot north of Bixby.

Bixby General Store does NOT have gas anymore, but as of today still great food!

I don't know the name of the mill. These are the coordinates of the road closure: N37° 01.414' W91° 29.276' The mill is just north of the road closure.

That gate was brand new when I was laying out the SMART ride several years ago, there was a guy with a road grader working there when we turned around, BigDog was with me. I was riding in that area 2 week ago with Layton and Short Britches and again last Sat. with Loose Nut. So I can confirm that you can still get around it by going east on 60 for about 1/4 mile from the 60/99/FF intersection. Then north and east on CR456 to CR455 north and east to CR454 east to CR421 north. That will put you right back on Basher's TMOT. :ricky

BTW one section of BigDog's TMOT is dam near grown over south of Birch Tree. We rode it but I don't think anyone had been through it in awhile. :hmmmmm Maybe it will be on the Loose Nut ride this fall, :confused that will open it up.

^ Very close to Birch Tree ....................but it ain't on no county road, and it ain't on no map, and it ain't on the TMOT either :evil Maybe it will be on the Loose Nut this year? :dunno

Can't wait buddy! There are "trails / roads" I have not included in the TMOT because of these are local rides and the routes are dedicated to those, I've been on lots of them, Sieg has some glorious ones...!! I know first hand :p Thanks Sieg

Grab the latest TMOT file as I've updated it around that area, as well as marking no Gas at Bixby.. was there Saturday!

Yep that's where I was thinking. leanin was there a private devolvement beyond the gate? That looked like that's what was going up with that roader grader in there that day. I never went back to check.

Ha yeah I'm at Bixby (well 3 miles south) right this very second. Needed diesel for a tractor yesterday but her computer was down, had to drain some out of my truck.

Basher I have your route downloaded from last month. Surely not too much has been updated since then. I leave a week from tomorrow to do the ride, can't wait.

There was a sign for private development. But, at that time it didn't look like much.

Thanks, I'll do my best. I'm still learning how to use my gps and it was more painful than it should of been just downloading and getting the files on my gps before.

Just uploaded a video of my experience with the TMOT. It's a little long at 17 minutes, but if you're bored check it out.

It was a good time for sure. I missed some of the route because of gps issues and I could use a little more riding experience as you could see. I'd like to do it next year, but maybe be a little bit more prepared. The only downside to any of it is my wrist is killing me, but I'm hoping it will work itself out so I don't have to hear any blah blah blah from the wife

    FYI
This is where the idea came from. ^ :deal So............I had a plan from the southwest end of the TMOTs half way up the state to the TIT. :nod Ed M had a plan from the TIT to where I left off mid state. :clap I've got my plan ridden and tracked. :ricky And also some of Ed M's plan. :thumb It goes 400+ miles from the south end of the TMOT to about Mexico MO. But for now it dead ends there. :(:
When complete it and the TMOT and part of the TIT will give you a big old loop of the state. :smile6 But to use till then I also laid out a 80+ mile connector back the STL. near the other end of Basher's TMOT, to make a rideable loop out of it. So with this new track and my previous TMORR that connects the east ends of BigDog's and Basher's TMOTs to the TIT, depending on how you connect them, you have an 1100 mile loop or a 1050 mile loop or a 900 mile loop right from northwest STL. :-)
Rather than start another thread I just added them to the TMORR thread. :deal

While I may get some of the credit for the idea of a TMOT Central Track, all of the southern portion design and riding credit goes to Sieg.

The Northern portion design is mine but was helped tremendously by inputs from Dale and John (the Adventure Palooza guys) after they tried to ride it. Two weeks ago I tried to ride the Northern portion and made it about 80% of the way before turning home. Three days ago with numerous track reroutes and a few of I what I thought might be fun short cut dirt sections I rode 100% of version 1.3 of the Northern section, unfortunately I need to re-route two areas that I thought I had made better but actually made worse. :( As for the short cut dirt sections I was hoping to include, they ended up being dead ends or apart of a new Conservation Area that is yet to be included in any maps etc.

I'm hoping to ride version 1.4 of the Northern section soon.
