    Just shotgunning another question:

Where's a good crossing if I leave from Midland, TX? I'll be down F1 weekend and staying with a friend until the Rally.

There are several international bridges in the area, but I will recommend passing thru Laredo, then the toll road to Monterrey, Reynosa is not my favorite border town, too many horror stories.

Anyone have direct contact with the OP on the TWTEX website? I'm not registered there. I paid and PM'd the guy here but haven't heard back. I see he hasn't updated on the MexTrek post in a month.

Isn't it easier to take 3 minutes to register and pm him there?

True. I just don't see the point in registering on another forum to send a PM to a person about an event I'll attend once. Since he hasn't posted or logged in over a month, I hope everything is ok on his end.

I PM'd him on here a little over a week and a half ago and haven't heard back. I'm waiting for my TWTEX registration to be approved so I can post to the thread. If you have a more direct way to contact him, that'd be appreciated. He can just PM me back and we can discuss that way.

At 100 riders we are at capacity. Anyone registering now would be on a wait list. But, we have folks dropping off regularly, and as in prior years, 4 of 5 will make it, so thinking 80 riders will likely make the trip.

I sent Shadman a PM notifying of my (Bob W., Scribe) and my wife's (Peggy W., Pegitpeg) cancellation, but not sure how often he comes on here and I'm not a TWT member. If you hang out over there please mention to him that two lucky souls on the waiting list now have open spots. Heavy sigh. Maybe next year.

Is it too late to far fetched to request a waitlisted spot?

It is still not too late. We have had a few back out so space is available. I am leading a group from McAllen Thursday morning through Santiago and Laguna de Sanchez, and Rayones to Galeana. Space in my group for 3 more riders. See this post for more details. http://www.twtex.com/forums/showpost...&postcount=583

Guys and Gals, any reports or photos of your rally would be greatly enjoyed.

We had about 65 riders make the trip. Hurricanes in Texas knocked out about 25 of the registered riders. We did an extra 5 dy tip with 18 riders and had a blast experiencing Day of the Dead in Real de Catorce. I have a picture / video / story thread up on twtex.com. Thanks to everyone who attended. Sorry I am not on ADVRider forum more often....
