No question there...990r with Mitas e09 rear or 908, and pirelli scorpion rally front....or motoz tractionator adv, or.....lol. At least I know the bike will be the 990r

the motoz is half the price and just as effective if not more so than the 908 out back. i'd look into an irc tr8 over the scorpion for the front.

i just removed a motoz adv front because of the every other "chevron" cupping. worst i've ever experienced but caveated with 3000+ miles of high speed pavement out to wyoming and back. in the dirt it did well but still prefer a more traditional knob.

I'm onto my 8th Dunlop 908RR, and can get them for about $200. They are spectacular tires for the heavier dual sport bikes. When they are worn, they still perform beautifully on pavement, to get you home. Got a new one on the Africa Twin to head back to 7 mountains.

Heavy bikes are the hardest to steal from the Econolodge parking lot while you sleep.

you confuse the motoz desert ht with the motoz adventure doc. i don't run the motoz adventure out back - only the motoz desert ht. between my two 950SEs, boatman's and thereisnospoon, heavy aggressive riding on both coasts in lots of conditions we've experienced no issues with the motoz desert ht.

my comment was about the motoz adventure in the front. it cupped pretty bad (lots of high speed pavement might have contributed to that). it worked well in dry gravel, dirt and rocks but the cupping of every other chevron was too much.

any aggressive riding on a KTM 9x0 class machine will make the rear tire wear far faster than a more sedate riding style. i'm glad you are happy with a 908RR. i get the same lifespan from each tire but we of course ride very differently so i chose to spend half as less.
