Ive heard good things about them. for the price dif you can live with bad paint....vinyl wrap or spray paint is cheap. I might get them for my super tenere.

i currently have givi trekker outbacks but i'm getting very wary of the mounting system and these seem to be a bit of a step up.

If you search for them on you-tube you can find few reviews and install videos. seems like they install with a knob with a locking screw to keep it from backing out. Id say sell your bags and they will almost/fully fund your new brooks. I'm always surprised how much people fork over for boxes. Brooks are justifiable based on the price for others but then again the Tusk cases are even cheaper.

Just installed my black Brooks panniers on my 16 GS. The boxes are nice and well built. BUT the finish on them are crap. Looks like dirt under the power coat finish. The rack system is ok. Wasn’t as stout as I would have liked and the black finish had lots of scratches. For the money yes there great if you can live with the piss poor fit and finish.

You explained the problem with the finish. What problems are there with the fit?

I put a set of silver ones on my 17 GS and both the dealer and I thought they were well made. No issues with the rack fitting and it's very solid. Did have to retighten some bolts after a couple hundred miles.

I have a set of Brooks Autosport Pannies (top and side) on my 2016 BMW R1200 GS Adventure and in 2018 went on a 3 month 17,000 trip from Washington, DC up to Alaska with no issues. I want to get an external toolbox and bought an ADVdesign toolbox but it would not fit due to the design of the Brooks Autosport pannier and how it mounts to the luggage rack. Does anyone know of a company that makes an external toolbox that fits with the Brooks Autosport Panniers on a GS (stock rack)?
