Totally agree. Other than a few tweaks and I'm sure they'll have to put a horsey huge muffler on it to get it into country, I think this thing is basically a done deal.

You could also argue a standard swingarm is stronger on tougher terrain.

I'll await details of what resides on top of the barrels before making a judgement. It could be a truly different head design. It could just be another smallblock hash-over with a couple of extra valves.

Fine looking bike. Don't mind the spokes, but needs to have a rim that can take a tubeless tyre.

It's going to be a 2018 model. The reason it's a standard swingarm is because it is using the V9 differential. It has Ohlins front and rear. Price coming soon.

I don't care how many valves or widgets it has - so long as it's light (ish), reliable, has a decent fuel range and that magical guzzi grumble

The more I stare at it the more I like it. I'd guess the production bike won't have Ohlins, and the exhaust will certainly be different. But I like the bones. The V7 III I rode had a sweetheart of an engine; if they manage to combine those manners with the hyped 80hp, that'll be something. I really hope they can get it done with air-cooling, too.

One thing was bothering me about the bike until I noticed that it has no mirrors! Looking at the cockpit view it looks like the UFO looking things are where the mirrors attach? Still it looks much sleeker without the mirror and it has those narrow hand guards that look like they'd need replacing with actual metal backed ones.

I am quite firmly in the " Sign me Up! " category.
Depending on what the price ends up being.

You can get Ohlins on the V7III Racer, so maybe they'll make it an available option for this as well.
