I might take you up on that offer. I've never piloted a sidecar rig.

this would be a good one to try out. it's definitely easier than my Nomad to handle.

When you get the paint done we need to get with Craig for another lunch run to Little Switzerland.

I'd like to see you strip the tupperware and paint the whole thing something nice and eye-catching. Deep sky blue? Sunset dark red-orange?

I don't know if I have mentioned it here. I contacted DMC back in 2013 about their rig for my 2000 Vstar 650 Classic. They make and recommend their revised triple clamp set up. If you can, would you compare a modified triple clamp to the leading link front end? Kind of a pros and cons deal.

I was there in the heat of the summer last year. :knary Normally I go further north on the BRP when it's hot.

I can't compare the LL to a raked front end. I have not ridden one which has been raked. My nomad has a fork angle of 32 degrees. I did not rake it, but with the width of the bars, it gave me enough leverage to steer. when talking to Doug at A Wing And A Chair, he said it was like 3 levels of steering. he also warned me that once you go leading link, you'll never go back. in my opinion, he's right.

Thanks for the response. My concern is head shake, as you are probably well away of, with standard forks and running a sidecar. I think I would need some sort of steering damper. I still haven't ruled out the possibility of a sidecar for the Vstar.

I didn't put a steering stabilizer on the Nomad. it has a very slight shake at slow speed, like 15 mph. other than that, there's no problem with headshake on that one. I had not really intended to put a steering stabilizer on the C10, but with how sensitive the steering is with the LL, it's probably a good idea.

It's been awhile since I was on this thread but see that you've worked everything out and the rig looks good. Enjoy.

a fiance that liked the maroon color better.

I'm saving the orange color for my other C10. that won't come until next winter. I've shot my wad of motorcycle money for this year. :)
