    That is my hammock with a Rain Bivy. I also carry a moto tent by redVerz. As for being a minimalist, I would have to say that I am one to a certain degree.

    I'm about to turn 50 in August, labels mean nothing to me, at least I'm on a motorcycle and enjoying the hell out of it lol. The redVerz tent is just an added bonus to my primitive past. Sometimes we need to have a couple of things to continue the ride in comfort and keep it enjoyable. I got tired of staying bent over under the Bivy's and tarps lol while trying to stay dry from the storms and the unpredictable weather patterns. Comfortable and dry = a hell of a lot of fun...

    I wasn't criticizing; just making a joke.

    I'm not a minimalist. I'm also not a take everything that could possibly fit on the bike either. I fall somewhere in between. And I definitely take a few creature comforts with me that aren't necessities... like my chair. I can always sit on a log, rock, picnic table, etc. But I like my chair!

    Along the Rideau Canal in Smiths Falls, Ontario.
    I got a Mountainsmith Morrison 2 tent mainly because of the small packed sized. It will fit in my top case or my dry bag, with room to spare. It is heavier than similar tents, but the big Guzzi handles the extra 5 pounds just fine.
