Wow what a day yesterday-less than 3 hours and I was completely knackered.

Lotta Throttle was kind enough to act as guide on some of the single track, and help me up a few hills on the bush pig.

Why didn't you fellas tell me the DR650 was a little heavy for that duty? ;-)

    Must buy a smaller motorcycle...

You were in complete beast mode / legendary status yesterday. I have NEVER seen anyone on such a heavy bike navigate the ST at Moto Mtn. I don’t even know how you pick that bike up on a hill but you made it look easy. You have skills and on a light 300 and you would be burning up ST everywhere.
I’m glad you made it up yesterday, thanks.

We usually camp, I bring the trailer, Dan brings his pop up. Everybody else brings their tents. We rig up the awnings and ez ups for the inevitable rain or god forbid, snow.
If you want a cabin I'd recommend calling Wayne and making a reservation right away. Not a lot of people riding that time of year but he still books the cabins.

Put me down as a definite maybe. This gives me about 2 months to get my ass back into shape. Plus wife knows I'm way overdue for a ride weekend.

It’s about 50 minutes from Murphy just past Robbinsville. 15-34 miles. Depending on how much y’all want after all the first awesomeness (lol) Start at 2100’ and a challenging slick climb up to 5300’, and back. And then up to 4700’ and back. It’s worth it.

I won’t be doing this loop many more times this yr. deep leaves. Hunters. Winter it gets bad with deadfalls, chronic ice sheets over creek crossings on the north slopes, etc.
