Looking forward to more of this to see what I missed. In May I made it as far as Dogubayizit before the calendar forced me to turn around.

Okay so now the real fun begins. In my mind in every trip with a motorcycle, your time is never wasted. Especially when you see new places. But From now on Every day I am going to visit places that I was really looking forward.

And What a day this would be.

I was planning to visit the dark Canyon south east of Sivas, and do a part of the road in it. To get there I had to go through a mountain road which was the worst i have ever seen, with millions of potholes. The weather was clear but with High temperatures, not much Traffic, only three or four cars.

    Stopped to drink some water.

The length of this off road section is 10 km, and it stops in the village of Kemaliye. After that its tarmac again. The truth is that everything i saw in pictures about this place, the reallity is even more spectacular. The views are just stunning, and every few meters i wanted to stop for photographs or just stare. Huge cliffs, a colorful wide river inbetween, tunnels, tunnels, tunnel!!!!! Amazing, Just amazing.

It's impressive the number of tunnel projects that are going on in Turkey currently.

I think they need a lot of them, or just redirection . I remember on the highways when there was a hill in front, many times the road was going straight ahead uphill and the trucks were struggling.

After the canyon there is a village called Kemaliye. You can find only two guesthouses there, both in the center and very good. Also gas station, and ATM. Dark clouds were coming quicklly, and rain started. I enjoyed an an evening nap, and then got out to walk around, have a coffee, and then back for dinner. It was sfor sure an amazing day.

Next day, again woke up early around 7 am, went for breakfast and a coffee to the square of the village, packed the bike, and headed back for 1 km to cross a bridge, the target today was to go north to Sumela monastery, near Trabzon, on the mountains. I was very excited, because again the distance was not that much, around 330 km, and i would have the chance to see a different enviroment, and landscape. because the mountains i am heading are full of forests, which means completely opposite from my first 4 days.

    Back to the bridge.

The river had this brown color, because of the heavy rain during the night.

Behind is the road i came yesterday, from the tunnels.
