Tired drivers and not-concentrating are also huge factors and not easily measured, but high risk

That's a very narrow way of looking at things... Just a question... How many speed cameras either fix, van, patrol, hidden below a bridge, hidden at the end of steep hill, trailer ones... are in your area within 300km?

Then have a good look at how many cameras there are between Vic and NSW... It is a real problem as it not just related to speeding any more... I'm in my truck, there is a hill coming up so I keep accelerating on the downhill to retain the momentum... Done! For my concern, to make sure that you have your food on the shelves at the shops in time, I just paid the price... And as you know, my truck is speed limited, but even a small downhill can make 10-15 km difference...

And don't even get me started with hospitals requiring specific drugs three times a day and Us having to deliver them in traffic peak hours... Like I said, is not that simple...

I found myself looking at the speedo more and more everyday, even when I don't need it...

Fair comment, i suspect that there are many less speed cameras up here in FNQ and within 300km radius of Cairns.

Yes, we have been lucky so far with speeding cameras, as we don't have enough population to justify the costs of installing them everywhere...

Nothing super about that at all.
If it was a race car driver and on a closed track then hardly an apples for apples comparison

Couldn't be stuffed reading back a few pages, but in case anyone hasn't mentioned it, Australia got 4th in the MXDN... oh and expect some news about Toby Price might do something or other soon... But he may not...

Great job by the "no name" Auusie squad to take 4th in some real tough (wet sand/muddy) conditions at Red Bud in the State's... almost a "stealth effort" amongst so much hype around the yank, the dutch and froggie teams... not to mention team Importo Rico...

Meanwhile in Marrocco... Pieboy the Mullet is riding it down to the wire... there's only minutes (and a few table points) in i between him and Quint... go the Pricetag to be CCR World Champ for 2018...! :clap:clap

I didn't follow it as much as I wanted to, but was team Australia in 2nd for a bit?

And I forgot to check where team Puerto Rico went.

Yep... going into the final moto, Oz was on the 2nd step of the box... it all came down to Tixiers (dropped moto) and one unfortunate high (moto finish) score from the Aussies.

Team Used Stakes of America/Notold Circus (imposing as the Importo Rico national team) posted consistenly lacklustre moto finishes in the mid pack to finish 18th or so... I think...?

    EDIT: 19th

If only Ronnie Mac had raced they would have won...

Oh well I hope they did what they set out to do and raised some money for Puerto Rico's hurricane relief...

Thank goodness we have both Marsh Boys playing for Australia again.

If it wasn't for their heroics with the willow - we may have had a chance to win it. :bluduh
