He built the team to get the trophy and it worked but imploded soon after but not the first one to do that either.

It's amazing how quickly these days you go from on top to mid pack and how hard it is to get back there, they have been swinging and missing on the QBs lately.

Vance tried to cost the team a win today with more poor decision making, equating to taking 5 points away. Last minute FG heroics would have been completely unnecessary, save for more lousy HC decisions. Vance is such a tool. :fpalm

we play and win three tough games to get to .500 and we're being shut out by a 2-10 team :bluduh

    ....30 seconds later, we score. It's a start :D

Vance is gone, thankfully, but ownership is fukt now with Mr. Bowlen out of the picture. It'll be many years before the Broncos are relevant again. It looks like I'll become a generic football fan without a team. We had a pretty good run though.

They need a QB. Until they get one, no hope.

Bringing this thread back to life......sort of......what some here fail to realize is that the Broncos are but one of a handful of teams who've been SB relevant at least eight times. Organizations don't do that without having their shit together more often than not. Mr. Bowlen may not be "here" in mind or spirit but the organization he built still stands on (mostly) solid ground and John Boy's still learning the ropes so all will be well come this fall. Over and out 'till August 1.

I hope you're right. Mr. Bowlen was a treasured owner but there is turbulence in his family. I hope that doesn't undermine the organization. And even if it doesn't, will they continue his passion for the sport? Or will the Broncos get sold to a new owner?

A week and a half until the shit hits the fan. Who will be standing in front of the fan, Elway/Fangio or the opposing team? :grim

For numerous reasons haven't been able to really follow the past couple of years. Will be an interesting year.
    I hope it's a good one.
