I love my wife’s Volvo. 2008 XC90 with the mighty Yamaha V8. I just replaced the brakes on it... kinda funny the rotors are as big (or possibly bigger) than the Dodge sitting next to it :D

The C30? If so great choice. Coming up on 2 years with mine. That will be a record for longest I’ve ever kept a car.

I believe it is a C30 with both options. They found it on a whim and 50 miles away.

My daughter has a '13 C30. All decked out. it's a really nice car, great interior, peppy, and very attractive IMHO.

I always thought the C30 would have been a great foundation for an R32 beater. AWD chassis with a badass Polestar tune.

There’s a few folks on C30 Crew that have done the AWD conversion. There’s a guy in Houston that’ll do all the work for you as well.

Looks good! Add a Hilton tune, it’ll really make her smile.

New to me. 99’ V70 T5. Lots of miles, needs quite a bit of work, but it seems to have good bones. This will be my second Volvo. First one was a 91’ 740 wagon I bought for the kids. They didn’t like it, so I sold it to an inmate here.

Welcome....Glad you have made it over to the Volvo side...:clap As you saw i had a '96 850 T5 wagon..it was an awesome car....but it wasn't as good as the RWD designs..
I wish Volvo would bring back RWD cars, but with Chinese ownership..we are going to the other extreme..eventually they will be hybrids or all electric vehicles..That is why I firmly believe that the RWD Volvos were the best designed and most trouble free cars they ever made....

I dropped my son off at school this morning and was behind a 2010ish V50 AWD. I guess there is an R version with a 6 speed and 230 HP. Seems like a pretty nice ride for about $6K used. If my Sportcross ever dies I may have to look into one.

Those look nice..but the interiors are pretty bland and do not appear to be high in the luxury dept......
99.9% of the time you're in it and driving it...the interior..to me should be comfortable and offer good amenities and use quality materials...the V50 looks plasticy...

My Mother had a 2008 v50 T5 with a 6spd. When it came time for her to stop driving, I was trying to decide whether to adopt it or sell it. I drove it for a month trying to decide because it was a free Volvo with 60k km. Seems a no brainer, right?

The thing was, the shift linkage was terrible- it would hang up any time you tried to shift quickly. Between that and that throttle by wire, I just could not drive it smoothly. Drove me nuts, I have driven stick for 35 years - everything from motorcycles to heavy duty trucks with crashboxes to off road snow machines and I pride myself on being smooth.

In the end I sold it for her. I probably would have kept it if it had the auto, and I have never said that about another car.
