    @GlockPointer

    I feel a little embarrassed....

After consulting a couple of clever mates, one sent me this

I seem to have ‘unwarped ‘ my rotors.....

Now not being very mechanical, I believed my long term Honda dealer that they couldn’t fix my first set of ‘warped’ rotors hence my spending a significant amount of money buying a second set from Galfer USA and having them shipped to NZ......

Now i REALLY don’t wanna talk about it......

    :devildog

Ps, now that it seems to be sorted, I love my Galfers again!

I want to buy a new aftermarket horn - not screaming loud but louder than OEM. And one that fits in the same space.

    Lastly not too much $$

    Any suggestions

    Thanks

    Bump this

I recently turned 63k on mine during commute home via backroads in Central Pa.

Need new shoes as Conti Motions have a good chicken strip

Stay safe and keep riding those Superhawks patkc3%2C%20VTwin%20Gas%2C%204-08.jpg 20161008_115544.jpg

Man I want one of these bikes so bad...have for years. I've got:

    599
    DL650
    XR650L
    CRF450R (trail bike)

So I've got every scenario covered...and I have a 2 year old and 1 month old so not like I ride much anyway.

But I don't care...I have an illness when it comes to motorcycles.

These are such sexy bikes...and the price makes it tempting...

Had 2, awesome bikes, only issue was super short fuel range. Best Ducati killer ever built

NCwolf - U can easily get a great version of the VTF for a very reasonable price.

Things to make sure have been modified / changed already.

Regulator / Rectifier - Honda's OEM crap out.

Suspension changed - unless you weigh 170 or less.

Cam tensioner - APE are the ones ya want.

And make sure seller has documented maintenance records.

    Nice Shaggie

I just found out the limitations of a moto tire - lol.

My son got us tickets to AMA Race in NJ.

We were lucky enough to get a free condo at the beach for day before. Plan was to swim, party and ride to track next day.

As $ is tight, I didn't change my tire....

Left beach and within 5 miles - flat....

Long story short (too late) I left moto locked near flat location and came back 2 days later & loaded up into pick up truck.

Luckily a friend was down with us, so I got a ride home and my son still got to see race. 20190908_123327.jpg 20190910_131612.jpg

^^that tire went end of life long before going flat. You got your money out of it for sure.

    Indeed.

Those were Conti Motions - a very good tire for the price.

I just had a new set put on - $250. Shipped & mounted. Tough to beat that price.

The last set lasted about 6500 miles

It'll be the last time I let tires get that bad...

Before the cold weather sets in - time to change da earl.

I think this is the longest I've gone between changes - 4500, but I figured it's synthetic earl and should last longer but it was pretty dark, but not full black mud.

    So fresh Mobil 1.

IDK but I always feel great after a change.

My VTR will be 18 years old, next Spring and still looks good & rides fantastic, albeit with aftermarket suspension!
