it could be the bikes i hear talking late at night.. my bedroom is off the garage.. there's 3 other empty rooms in the house.. but as they say.. when it comes to real estate - location, location, location..
Best dirt tire for the front of the DR? I don't care about Tire life and I don't care about Road characteristics. I pretty much only take my Dr in the dirt.
Well its been a few weeks but thanks to Procycle and others my DR is back together and running fine. New stator, charging coil in the OEM one went bad. Great to have an old friend back, with OEM 15/42 (first time in over 10 years) on a 520 chain it will do over 60 on the highway and not sound like it is going to explode. Is still a fun ride. Did about a 100 mile test ride today and all is great and 47 MPG.
Speaking of this little screw. Does anyone make a replacement in socket head to replace it, mine only works with vice grips now.
millville ?? is that a Kenda.. i dunno.. those blue drink riders always gotta be a bit different don't they..
Adam suggested it to me prior to the Moab trip last year. Even though it's a really aggressive tire (which I thought would not last very long here) I gave it a shot. It has become my favorite front tire. It's still on Bertha right now a year later. No chunking and it's not all that bad on the pavement. Almost as good as "twice as much Jamaican Me Happies"
i'm sure @Lil' Steve is gonna feel so much better when @BergDonk gets over there.. i feel a blue drink intervention coming on, to get you off those drinks.. beer.. beer is always the answer..
Today was more of a tow vehicle shake down ride. The Wagon did great. I was not expecting the variety of scenery we encountered. Top boxes are great. But the bigger they are, the more you wind up stuffing in them. Glad we do these shake down runs before big trips. @tobiism we need assistance. A great day. Really glad I was on my cheater bike today. More pleasant surprises. Is that a mirage? Nope, it's real. Felt like a jackpot finding this little beach. Here's @cyberdos demonstrating his love for his Shinko's. He's really impressed how well they grip.
I fucking hate these tires. Went up a seemingly doable but loose hill. When I figured that it was steeper than I expected I stopped and with full front and back locked brakes the bike skidded down about 20 feet. Screw these stupid tires.
If you have some strap, box that puppy in. It's too lite for a top box in the terrain those two ride in.
805 rear, 804 front. They both suck. It's a flaw of the rack IMO. I do believe that if that part is welded back it'll break again. The rack needs to be supported on the sides rather than at that central spot. Especially with a large box.
