Seat concepts makes a seat for this bike or would it need to be sent to them to be redone?

Staple the SC 2017 Husky foam n cover kit to the stock pan and leave a note on the refrigerator telling them when you will be back!

So the TSE seat is the same as which model husky?

One major shortcoming of the 2 stroke TSE will be fuel range. Even with the larger tank, you will be seriously short of range in many spots out West. I doubt a TSE even ridden very conservatively would get more than 75 miles out of a full tank.

75 miles range out of the larger tank?

I'd probably want about 150 mile range total with a couple fuel bottles if necessary

Just ain’t gonna happen with the two stroke.

Maybe the FSE250E four stroke could get there with some spare fuel stashed.

Look for fuel estimates from the Lanza 230. I know running off road in sandy trails it’s a guzzler. With taller gearing, smoother tires and a steady hand it can’t be nearly as bad as my one gallon per hour use.

Commuting on my tse better me around 35mpg. That was with jetting more rich than stock. I wouldn't run the stock jetting cross country.

If you can get the aftermarket 4.x gallon tank to work, you are close to 150 mile range.

Commuting on the road, and running sandy washes in the dirt are two totally different animals when it comes to fuel mileage.

The TSE has a lot of good traits, but everyone I know has commented about them being a fuel hog when being pushed. Just par for the course being a 2T.

Yah, when racing mine harescramble, I was burning over 1 gallon per hour. It's a 2t.....not a fuel conservation machine :lol3

Has anyone proven the 4 gallon tank to work?

Which 4 gallon tank is a possible fit?

No one has tried that I know of. I believe IMS is the one, but I believe you will have to relocate the powervalve servo.

On a cross country trip you could PROBABLY disconnect the PV and leave it closed. Further restricting output and raising MPG, maaaaybe.

Seems a waste. Other Yamaha bikes with that same powervalve servo setup had it in the airbox area. Get some longer cables, new bracket and you're good to go. :dunno

Shootin from the hip and I’d say test it for only the times you need a massive tank. No way I’m riding mine without a working PV. :lol3

We trial fitted the IMS 4.1 that Roostre has on his fser up to a TSE. In stock location the PV servo is in the way, but it looked like it could be moved without much trouble to make clearance.
I get over 100 mile range on the 2.6 gallon tank and the 4.1 is over 200 on the fser.
