I'm kinda mad I don't have a magnetic bag anymore. At one time I had like three different sizes. Then plastic tanks happened. So the mag bags all got replaced with strap bags like the old days. This is the first bike I've had since 2006 with a metal tank.

You gotta write a ride report for that.

I sure will and I’ll take lots of pictures and post them. The Guys do it every year. Last year I took my 2018 Kawasaki KLX 250. This year a couple of the guys are taking CT 90s the theme is small cc bikes. Most of which will be vintage.
I can’t wait to go and then when I get back share the experience.
I really enjoy reading other peoples ride/trip reports.

Fun Monkey video. This guy has an original 1965 Monkey (CZ100 model?), let alone his '65 S600 Coupe later in the video.

Proud new owner of a 2019 red. Drove 1100 miles from PHX to Dallas to pick up this good deal. Has a Takegawa exhaust, Dynojet Power Vision 3, tail tidy, and couple other bits installed. Already have some shocks, rack, skid plate, and other bits coming. Kenda Big Blocks arrived today.

    the blue monkey is awesome.

So if anybody wants to come ride their Monkey in the mountains, I have made some tracks that are all about 120-130 miles and rideable on a Monkey (I have). Mo'Monkey (red) track is all "paved" backroads and all in Monroe County. Fo'Monkey (green) is also in Monroe County but takes in a lot of forest roads. No'Monkey goes into North Carolina (gold) and is also a mix of forest roads and paved roads. Po'Monkey (blue) ventures south and takes in a lot of forest roads and paved roads in Polk County. And if you REALLY want to, you can ride the Skyway/Deals Gap/Hwy 360 loop that is also about 120 miles and get your picture taken by Killboy.

LOL, yes same/same. Hell, an old Trail 90 (@Jvella) with it's bigger wheels might be even better. :wave

Got YSS shocks installed along with a rack and a few other bits on the new (to me) Monkey. The shock preload was way too stiff as sent, and I'm about 180lbs. Had to back off 3 turns and it's still more firm than stock. Now holy crap the fork springs are WAY too soft. I have a pair of Ohlins fork springs ready to install. BTW they are only $75 at Hard Racing (shipped) and come with the appropriate spacers. Should get the fork springs and new Big Blocks installed tomorrow and see how she rides.

Installed a MNNTHBX intake last night and took the bike out today after the rain and tried a few different downloaded Dynojet maps using the PV3 that come with the bike. Saw an indicated 72mph on the last run with a tail wind behind me but the bike has a 14T front sprocket (from original owner) so the speedo isn't accurate. Bike felt pretty strong. I have a TB parts camshaft coming Monday and a 15T sprocket so I'll try some runs after those installs. I'd like to be able to get to 75mph, but that might require a 186BB kit from TB parts.

Lastly, I'm going to go with different exhaust and will be listing the Takegawa Sports 'standard look' full exhaust for sale probably in a couple weeks or so. It has about 200 street miles on it, installed from previous owner. PM me if interested.
