And then I ruined a perfectly good bike.

Agreed. It's only fit to be a boat anchor.

I had a stock CB750...red tank gold stripe even. I didn't like it, so swapped it for a Singer Vogue, but would never had done that too it, there were other people who somehow thought they were pretty good.

WTF ? Why would you even do that to a pretty great bike. Tastes are obviously greatly different.

There's your basic "taste", and then there's the "tastebuds burnt off with a bunsen burner" taste. Duzzi & his ilk have bunsen-burner taste. Wreck a perfectly designed and manufactured motorcycle to suit their own warped, twisted "minds".

No real need for a mudguard at all, But police can get exited if you ride/ Drive in the rain with no guards. Simple way around this, is duckt tape around the forks to deflect water.
Open wheel cars its more complex, and abbreviated lightweight quick fit guards in the boot are best option. With the MOT its like this, if its not there you can not test it. Lights indicators , Even when the bike still needs indicators by law, if you tape up the indicator part of the switch, remove the indicators it will pass the MOT.

I thought I would give this thread a little bump with a link to the house of tasteful delights that is the Kevil's Speed Shop catalogue. The R100GS custom scrambler moto bobber cafe racer tracker, their words not mine is on ebay a snip at £13,500, that is $17,500 to you sir.
The best thing I can say about this place is that they are a useful source of used BMW airhead parts here in the Southwest of England but at the cost of many useable bikes probably lost forever.

As stated, Seca 650. They look a lot better unmolested. Even remotely approaching this would be acceptable.
