I have a 2012 F650GS ( the 800cc twin) with 40K kms on the clock. I finally have it the way I want. I like everything about it. I’m always solo, lots of space for just me. And, since I’ve always wanted a boxer, I’m looking at a UGS. Absolutely zero luggage space compared to my wee GS....am I nuts?
Went the other way, from a 1200GS to a F650GS. Couldn't be happier. Equal luggage space, lighter, easier to maneuver, better mileage, uses "regular" fuel, very adequate 1 up bike for all sorts of riding. Wouldn't go back. Now that you are set up, why start all over again? With just 40K kms it's barely broken in and probably paid for. YMMV
No, it’s a good bike (although I must say I only had a brief test ride) I meant, yours is a waaaay better all round package. I had to sell my F650GS and own a 1200GSLC now. It is just a heavy pig. NineT is much more nimble but luggage, ergonomics and long distance comfort is a big tradeoff.
