The few times I've been in the area it's always been frolicking with tourists. You really had quite a unique opportunity!

English speaking people have a lot to giggle about when traveling around Denmark - how about the good old town of Middelfart...

@Don T Any thoughts on the Anakee Adventure vs. Tractionator GPS tires? I know the 800 and SuperT are quite different, but I'm curious how you guys are finding those (I'm running a GPS on my Super T right now and am thinking about what tire to spoon on next :) ).

Anakee Adventure is a bit more smooth on tarmac.
GPS is significantly better on every other surface and last longer.

Is it OK to post a photo on your RR, Tonny? I've only been to Denmark twice, both times before meeting you in Morocco. When I saw your photo of Valdemars I thought it looked familiar. I guess we took about the same photo. Wonderful place for a visit.

When we reached Limfjorden we stayed south of it and headed for Aalborg to see a friend I know from primary school. We have only seen each other a few times since then, but have managed to stay in touch. It was great seeing him again and to meet his kids. We stayed for the night and the next day he showed us around town, before we continued our journey.

At one point while we took a short break, a guy came up to us from a driveway across the street. It turned out that he was a rider as well and member of the local motorcycle club. He gave us route suggestions in the area, and offered us to stay at the clubhouse nearby – we turned down the generous offer, as we had made other plans:

It seems like I've struck a note with this RR.

Besides all the positive comments (which I really appreciate), I've received several private messages and even a few emails with questions and inquiries.
I don't mind that people reach out to me like that, but I would like to encourage people to post their questions and inquiries here in the thread instead - you are most likely not the only one, who would like to hear the answer

Can i know what camera you are using out of curiosity?

Most of the pictures were shot with a Sony RX10.

It's a bit bulky but I like that it me and not the camera that is the limiting factor when taking pictures.
The tankbag is my camera bag. This way I can get to the camera quick and easy during the day, and the bag also allows me to charge my powerbank while riding.


The tank bag (GIVI ST602B) also allows me to use my phone as a GPS in case the Zümo 660 let me down (which it never has):

At this point it had been cold and very windy for some days. An hour after we left Aalborg, we’ve had enough.

One of the reasons that the weather was wearing on us was that because of the corona restrictions, all cafes, restaurants and bars were closed to guests. As a result we had no option to get inside to have a short break from the weather anytime during the day.

We pulled in to study the map, the weather forecast and our options. If we stuck to the original plan, we would spend the next couple of days along the west coast where exposure to the weather would be extreme. According to the forecast the weather would change in 2 days with higher temperatures and a drop in the wind.

It was Friday and I decided to call some of our friends who live in central Jutland to ask for shelter. Luckily they were home and would love to host us. We headed south and 2 hours later we enjoyed a warm cup of coffee by the fireplace at our friend’s house – followed by a nice dinner, cold beer and a warm bed. Just what we needed! The following day we did a local ride in the morning before arriving with some other friends who had also offered to host us.

At the first place we stay, we were accommodated in their cozy caravan:


As we arrived at short notice, our friends were busy with their daily chores when we arrived - my friend modifying his chicken coop to prevent further escape attempt:

At the second haven, Pia greeted us in the driveway - dressed up for painting the house.


We have known Pia for years. Besides being a good friend she is also the only female motorcycle mechanic in Denmark, a track day and off road riding instructor, a competent racer with several titles on her record and one half of the infamous "Danish Rally Cats".
There is no room for garage queens here:


I joined her husband Morten aka @El Dudeness for a workout in their home gym. He's a physiotherapist and after the workout he treated me for a pain between my shoulder blades that had annoyed me for a couple of days (I like their interior decor):


They treated us with delicious lunch, dinner and homemade cake:




We had a great couple of days in the company of good friends who spoiled us rotten.
