Thats what I was wondering. My 320's were a bit fiddly to get on. Maybe with the 330's you have to leave the rotor bolts loose. And tighten them after the caliper is on.

No you can get them off
Spread the calipers really wide and make sure you tape your rim as to not scratch them
If I had to pull the rotor bolts I would for sure dump the 330s :)

If I remember the side with the Double banjo was more difficult

It looks nice, and sounds great. I’ve not actually ridden it since, as I’ve been in hospital then recovering from an op.

I may have my 2016 Enduro in the hands of a new owner soon. Keeping the 2019 1260 Enduro. That new V4 GT looks amazing and in Canada the V4 S comes pretty much fully equipped for a pretty good price.

Has anyone had the chance of riding the new V4 multistrada? I am curious only about the handling , with the big front wheel.

I'm honestly more worried about the weight of the bike and the fuel economy than the 19" front wheel. An Austrian site 1000PS measured it at 270 kg wet (!!), and it got 30.2 mpg.

Yes, i read about the fuel consumption and weight. Also i remember i read somewhere that the engine polutes more than the v2, even if it is a higher Euro standard ( don t know the equivalent in US), which is strange.
All the reviews on youtube, speak of how great the bike is and its new electronics, but no one says about the handling of 19” wheel.

I'd be more worried about the weight too. Chances are you could put a 1260 front wheel on and be good to go.

I have not ride the model yet, but i really doubt the extra weight will be noticeable. This is a total new bike (frame,engine,wheels,geometry, shorter wheelbase, all). I want to believe they tested it before releasing. It looks pretty balanced bike, but my question is how much this “balance” took away from the handling on tarmac curves for instance? Asumptions and opinions, without a ride test.

Well, if it realy turns out to be 88 pounds heavier, I have to believe you would notice the difference over a 1260....As far as the 1260 wheel, of course I never laid eyes on the bike . Thats why I said "chances are" in my post. I'm going by the excellent improvement in handling I got when installing a super duke front wheel on my 1290 super adventure S. So much quicker turning. You just think about where you want to go and it goes. When I get on my '17 super adventure with the stock 19, it's so much heavier feeling, and takes much more effort to turn. I've had the S up to 125 mph and its rock solid. I was planning to get a hyperpro steering damper, but there doesnt seem to be a need.

Long time lurker on this board. I just got myself a '18 1260S. It had 900 miles on it and bone stock when I bought it a couple of months ago.






I've also ridden the Multistrada V4 and prefer the V2 for many reasons. I do wish mine has the radar cruise control though!

I'm excited to take it out on trips.
