Moto Guzzi V85 TT

I'm not sure about that, and I cannot find a definitive answer with a brief search. You could unhook your battery for 20-30 sec. That usually resets the ECU. But- if it is a real fault, it will come right back (so maybe you learn something that way?).
I am NOT well versed on GuzziDiag. I downloaded it and connected to my bike one time, but that's the limit of my personal experience. I'll fire it up this afternoon and see what I can find.

Have ordered the cables and downloaded the program, see what happens.

Yes, GuzziDiag can clear the fault. If the fault returns you know you have a problem
GD will also tell you what the fault is. Do not take the fault name as the answer, that's to simple. Look up the OBD2 DTC code for a better description; there could be several things that are acting up, or interacting.

Skid plates?
Since installing the mid pipe, thinking a beefier, longer and wider bash plate be next on my list.
The 2 side protections plate have become cracked almost beyond repair, would like a one piece design to eliminate 3 separate.
Have I missed anything online? Might try a local to fabricate...

Those cracked side plates are a warranty item, waiting for mine to come into country.

After 4 months of waiting my dealer robbed one off a new bike. Not good for either of us as his bike now looks ugly and mine has another one that might crack after warranty. I did assemble with Ace hardware bolts and a fender washer on each side for extra support.

I believe Mytech do a skid plate

I agree with Redhawk- I just connected GD and it can read the faults (I had none) and there is a button that says 'Clear'.
If you go through the trouble to buy a cable and hook up to your bike, I suggest you get the 7SM reader and download your current map just as a stored backup. Takes 15 or so minutes- I left my bike on a charger while I did it.
Sorry it took a while. We are moving furniture around here in preparation of some major house remodeling.

This is a pic (not great one) of the MyTech skid plate. Not a one piece though, the side covers come separate but look strong.

While looking for pictures of the Mytech sump guard, I came across these Gamma Zinken fellows

This appears to be a one-piece unit rivited from flat (as opposed to stamped) 5mm sheets of a reasoanably substantial aluminum alloy, with ventilation holes similar to the OEM setup. Has anyone here seen one? And what is a 'zinken'?

good find, looks like the store is in Italy and they have a few things for the V85 It says the bash plate has 300% more air spaces than OEM

They also note that, "...it personalizes your Moto Guzzi V85TT with a massive appearance making it more aggressive."

I'll keep this concept in mind the next time She Who Must Be Obeyed and I go out for dinner. "What about your diet?" she'll ask. "Not to worry," I'll reply, "I'm personalizing myself with a massive appearance."

Thanks for your explanation and photo, I did mine today. Whilst I was there I blocked off the SAS line from the air box. My ECU has been mapped but it still had a small amount of popping under deacceleration. I went for a 60 k ride and the popping is maybe a little better or same, definitely not worse.
I will visit a friend tomorrow whose bike is set up similar to mine and see what he reckons.

Is this a good idea? I think a short amount of hose should remain on the throttle body to serve as room for expansion in the rare case of a back fire.

Think i might try and produce something my self.
Got a 3 mm alloy sheet laying around for ages now, to bad I can't weld so all needs to be folded and bolted, Like the one in your link.
But then again.. all that work, the time involved, I could spend riding my bike.. (or talking to the wife) hhmm

I think Zinken is their company name?? I have a friend with Zinken as his Family name.

I didn't see where they stated if the side covers would work with the stock Guzzi skid plate so I sent a request. I see many replacements in the future seeing as one of mine didn't make it 4000 miles if I recall and you know how Guzzi pricing will be when the warranty is over. Besides, they still can't supply them.

Did the same thing on my V7III with no problems in 7000 miles. YMMV
