Discussion in 'Ride Reports - Epic Rides' started by DockingPilot, Dec 30, 2010.
Just spent a couple weeks riding Utah, Arizona, Colorado and Wyoming with my wife on a National Parks tour. Our trip, including the out and back took us through a lot of the country this ride covers and every day I told her "I have to come back and do the Forever West ride". She had no idea what I was talking about but I am re-reading this report for the umpteenth time and will put it in the list for next fall.
Haven't got around to my report yet, but these are my favorite spots.
Wagon Wheel Point
Very nice photos, Bomose.
Awesome pics ! Brings back great memories indeed.

That's for winter driving. More elevation, worse weather. In winter they will give the freezing levels for snow. If your town is above that, you get to enjoy winter more.
Without having to go through all 56 pages (which I will do, slowly), is the track for this ride posted somewhere?
Just went thru the thread again... i remember reading those words and thought someday...
I made it.
Spent a quite night down in the hole.
Thanks again for sharing...
I have just re-read the entire RR for the 3rd time and it still blows me away...how striking the colors and changes in terrain...wonderfully wriitten too....I'm glad to be permanently subscribed...
X2 And finally starting to plan a trip of my own due to the inspiration by these guys. Thank you!!!
This is THE ride to make as an Adventure rider.
You will relive this one over and over.
JUST DO IT
I remember this from yrs ago. This is a must read again!! Great RR. I would love to do this ride someday. Thanks
Thank you, it's my pleasure. The Parting of the Ways and the Oregon Trail segment in particular, that I researched and developed with some help from Cannon Shot, will always have special memories for me.
Any questions just pm if you pull the trigger.
Aren't you about due to run this route again???
However, me and my posse are working on something really special and different for this year
I'm honored to be in the Docking Pilot's "POSSE" - even if it's probationary....
Great RR, and better pictures! Thank You!
