Well done Trikepilot! You and the Super Tenere represented. You blasted the TAT. I think we shall call you - TAT Blaster.

Thanks, Neil. The Tenere is a serious TAT mile munching machine. Doing the days I did on my WR would have been masochistic. Tho... i think 30 days to do the TAT is entirely reasonable

Congratulations, buddy. An epic ride, and epic report, great job on both. I do hope it lived up to the years of anticipation that you experienced. From what I saw, it appears that it did. I wish you safe travels home and look forward to catching up in the near future.

Glad to see tha you did this to treat yourself, rather than the ordeal the highway would have been.

I was/am done. A month on Fancy doing the TAT was enough. The goal was to ride the TAT - not slab it home. The booking and dropoff process was ridiculously easy. Ask me about the delivery and Fancy's condition in about a week or so when she arrives. The cost to ship her across the entire US was only $700 which i felt to be entirely reasonable.

The "cascade" portion looked a little chaotic and very remote from the looks of the Delorme....very curious of amount of fuel needed? Looking forward to this part of the RR

I did. They were super nice and easy to deal with and the Federal agent (Lile) in Tualatin made the dropoff super effortless. They came highly recommended by several inmates and they fully lived up to the hype. But again...I'll reserve judgment till the dropoff and see how Fancy fared on her journey.

Indeed. The roads up in there are a labyrinth. Factor in the downed trees and track/map inaccuracies and the description of chaotic is dead accurate. But it is all very doable. I felt the three legs in OR were all very "remote" feeling. I was glad to have a large tank with a 250mi range. My little oem tank on my WRR would not cut it back in there. All told... it was a hell of an adventure.

In airport now. Final trip report (ID/OR border to Port Orford) will be forthcoming. I want to wait till the GoPro arrives by FedEx ground so i can add vid snippets. So look for the final three days by late next week to be followed by wrap-up thought and summary.

    Trike,
You mentioned how you like working for the association you are going to follow. I have been really thinking how I want to thank you for that. I`m sure you have seen a lot of people in need. This one fits what you talked about. As a pilot you will understand.-----Safe flights my friend. Nice if you catch this on your flight home. You just crossed the land they fought for and I Thank them for Ever !
