'03 vs. '04 (silver vs. orange, blk)

    Trying to figure out what's what... Are all 950s with silver rims '03s? Do all silver bikes have silver rims and no centerstand? Are the above (rims, centerstand) the only differences? In other words: what changes have taken place from the "'03" to the "'04"?

    Dealers seem to believe that anything they have for sale is an '04, but they're so used to lying they don't know better. What the hell?

    They ARE all 04's as far as your title reads and no one would know the difference if they where not a well informed ADVRIDER dude but your senerio is correct the silver rimmed bikes are the 03's titled as 04's

    Besides the silver rims and lack of centerstand, the "early 04 non-S" has simpler evaporative emission control plumbing--no valves, no hoses to carbs--and a two-color front fender.

    Not a lot of difference.
