If the gearbox is different i'd like to know in what way?. The one thing i didn't like about the last model was they had the servo brakes, to my knowledge it was a no choice option even here in aus. Like a lot of 1150's sold down under my 2003 adv came without abs or servo, less to worry about going wrong. As i've mentioned before, should my 1150 ever need a paint job, it might become an instant '06.:bubba

Haven’t put it up for sale yet but am considering it . Is there still interest out there for these beauties ?
Sure would miss her if sold but too many bikes and needs have changed a bit .... Any input would be appreciated thanks ....

Be sure to announce here, first, to reward the blokes what have already expressed their interest. And where are you, close to Deals Gap? Or was that just a vacation ride?

+1 ... I haven't decided if I need an 06, but want to add an 1150 GSA to my garage this year and will be monitoring this thread.

Every time I take it on a ride after some time off I always say no way I’m selling it . This and the r1150r are two of my favorite bikes of all time . And I’ve owned a bunch ..

For anyone interested in an 06 , there is one for sale in the Milwaukee Craigslist .
Obviously my lack of computer skills prevents me from putting up the link . Very low miles and not many farkles asking 10.9 k or best offer . Not my bike but I sure wish it was ( or I could make it mine )

AWESOME Early 50th Birthday present from my even more AWESOME and beautiful Wife.

(Back story). This is THE bike, the very same bike that we rode up to the Arctic Circle on in 2008. I sold this bike in 2009. SHE found this bike in 2013 and has been talking to the owner. He said he wasn't planning on selling it, BUT if I wanted it, he would sell it to me.

So today, We bought it back... Not only did David, the previous owner, sell it to me, but when I asked him what he wanted for it, he said he didn't know what they were going for. I had researched while planning to haggle and told him, "depending on the mileage, they were selling for between $6,000 and $9,000." and since this had 60k miles i thought it would be a fair price around $6,500. He agreed and then said he would sell it TO ME for $5,000!!! Done.

Not only had he taken great care of it he changed NOTHING!!! It still had my Gremlin Bell, in the same spot, my GPS with all of my addresses and routes, the small, on the trail fixes I did to the Cylinder Guards and Hand protectors (Glueing them together) and he only put 6,000 miles on it in the last 10 years...

So awesome. Congrats on getting her back. Congrats also on having a SO who is supportive. Enabling even. :-)
There is just something about these bikes. I think there may be one on ebay right now as well.

So far, the best looking of the GSA series! not to take away anything from the newer rigs but none have the growling soul of the 1150!
