    I was PM'ed with a question that others might find useful : If there is rash on the valve covers under the Machineart Moto heads covers?
    The answer is no with supporting photos taken.

    No troubles at all except the fuel strip issue which is common for GS's of this vintage. It is working now and replaced by dealer free of charge.

    Hello Tangai,
    Are your referring to the Enduro Transmission ? If so, it was a bmw factory option that came on more optioned bikes. I believe the transmission
    is geared slightly lower to aid in slow off road terrain. I'm sure that's an over simplification and anyone please feel free to add something or correct me. Hope that helps

    I had the same question. Also, it it more reliable & what about the rest of the drive train. Those years had their fair share of issues... i think?

    Yes, some of the drive shafts go at some point. I've had zero issues with the drive shaft and have performed regular maintenance.

    09? fair share of issues? the 07-09 are the most issue free years for 1200 GS bikes, this is the one that doesn't break. great deal pizza guy! GLWS
