Has anyone had the opportunity to try the larger BMW windscreen for the 650 (Which I believe is the standard for the 800s) and/or the TT windscreen? My only complaint thus far is the wind striking mid face over 60 mph and I'm looking for an alternative.

    Thanks.

I'm getting the largest factory screen when the bike finally decides to show up (it was supposed to be this week). I'll let you know.

I think they call it the tall screen, NOT the touring screen.

I got the Tinted 800 Windshield put on my new 650... looks awesome but it almost puts your head directly into the buffeting zone at speed. Loud too. My solution for that was to purchase the TT clip on spoiler. Made a huge difference. The big test was how did it do at 70mph and over... that's where you notice the difference the most. I won't do without the spoiler at that speed. It's not horrible without it but it's not great if you are doing any sort of distance.

I don't fully like the look of the OEM Touring windscreen. it seems to swoop back too much and doesn't look like it's giving you great protection for the amount of length it seems to have. PLUS it's mega bucks because you have to buy an accessory mounting brace. But i'm sure that helps with windshield wobble.

I will still get a separate windscreen for a multiday trip. The Touratech one looks great. has a look that suits the GS and good coverage. I still need to measure what the height of my current setup with the clipon is. Could do with about 2 or 3 more inches for ultimate comfort.

After tons of research though, I think the Wunderlich might be the best one. It has two separate heights and you can get it tinted too.

You can download their catalogue here:
    wunderlich.de/images/International/England/Katalog_PDF/F_650_800_ENG.pdf

TONS of great stuff but I have no idea whether you can get any of it in North America. If any one knows, please share.

    cheers,

    Sorry I lost you... :shog
so you are back to the "stock" F650GS screen + the TT extension which is "OK" but could stand some improvement?

    Thanks,

Aeroflow will have an F650G/S at the end of the month to start development on a screen for the 650G/S and 800G/S. It should take about 2-4 months for the development, testing and beta testing.
If you want to be a beta tester call Aeroflow Mon. - Fri. 7:AM - 4:pM and talk to Christine or Paige and they can give you the details.
I know that some don't like the look of Aeroflow screens, but they work better than most aftermarket screens out there. Guess it depends on what you are looking for, looks or performance.

Sorry if any confusion... I'm using the f800 screen plus the TT spoiler. Works great. Would only go to something larger for long multi day rides.
