If loading and unloading is your main concern and if you are going to do it frequently, I would consider lighter bike options depending on your comfort level. I had the same concern with my truck camper and bringing my GSA, went through a few bikes 250, Huzq 701 and finally a KTM 1290 and a few hitch modifications and upgrades. Hitting the dirt roads is great for the smaller bikes but for long distance touring the area no comparison to the bigger bikes.

I have purchased 500lb bike racks from Amazon, never again. I highly recommend investing in quality racks from Joe Hauler with a cam loc and others, well worth it.

Ok this is what I have come up with , New dodge Promaster ext. Ducati 1100 Hypermotard 400 LBS . lots of power wide seat for two fat f@#$s . In the back of the van under the bed ,That go up and down on electric lift . Inside and out of sight ,Have heard so much about people trying to steal bikes off the back of the vans and trucks .
