Just that, my 1150GS brake lights are on all the time. Had the tank off over the weekend but no idea where to start troubleshooting. I suppose disconnecting the switches, not sure where they are located.

    Any thoughts / experiences?

    Thanks!

    Hand guards?

Check your handguard is not touching the front brake lever.

the usual suspect is the brake lever itself. make sure its not hitting the wind cover.

for me... last year i got sidetracked for a week because of this same thing. the brake light was on and i had no abs. what had happened with me was... under the brake foot lever there is a tiny switch that opens when you step on the brake to make the lights go on. somehow the little metal tab had slipped off the switch and had defaulted the switch so it was always open. i moved the tiny metal tab back over the switch and hey presto!

    just two possible ideas.

The operating tang on my rear brake got out of place and made that happen, its under the pedal, I just popped it back into its place and cured the problem.

yes indeed, it was the leaf switch under the brake pedal...couldn't see it but I could feel it, and it's working properly again. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
